We offer culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy and assessment services designed to support healing, growth, and lasting change for individuals, couples, families, and communities. Our clinical services include individual therapy, relationship therapy, family therapy, and therapeutic groups, along with diagnostic assessments and specialized evaluations, including bariatric readiness, emotional support animal, perinatal mental health, and fertility and family-building evaluations.

Beyond clinical services, we also provide ASWB ACE continuing education courses for clinicians and coordinate and sponsor community events grounded in radical joy, because having a good time is therapeutic. We are dedicated to revolutionizing wellness for the BIPOC community.

ARE SERVICES PROVIDED VIRTUALLY OR IN-PERSON?

Our therapy services are currently 100% virtual. Sessions are provided through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that can be accessed via computer, tablet, or mobile phone.

Our trainings are also offered virtually. View upcoming trainings HERE. Customized in-person, on-site corporate trainings and workshops are available upon request.

In addition, we frequently coordinate and sponsor in-person community events to promote overall wellness. View our upcoming events HERE.

ARE YOU ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS? UPDATED 1.13.26

Yes, we are! We have immediate individual therapy openings for children, adolescents, and adults. Most of our current availability is on weekdays during normal business hours. We have limited evening and weekend availability.

ARE CONSULTATIONS REQUIRED?

Yes. Consultations are an essential part of our intake process. During your consultation, we take time to learn more about what you are seeking and answer any questions you may have about our practice so you can make an informed decision about joining The Revolution. We also use this time to determine whether we have a clinician in our Tribe who is well-suited to meet your needs.

DO YOU SERVE CLIENTS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY?

Unfortunately, no. At this time, we are only able to provide services to clients who reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, New York, and Florida.

CAN I USE MY MEDICAL INSURANCE?

You sure can - and you should! We currently accept plans from the following insurance companies: Aetna, Anthem, Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum, and United Healthcare.

HOW MUCH WILL THERAPY COST ME?

Out of pocket fees vary from person to person based on insurance policy details, specifically copays, coinsurance, deductibles, etc. Our insurance and billing specialist informs clients of all out of pocket costs prior their first scheduled sessions.

Our standard fees per session are as follows: Diagnostic Assessment: $225, Individual Therapy: $175, Couples Therapy: $200, Family Therapy: $225, Therapeutic Group: $75.

Uninsured or underinsured individuals, who do not demonstrate need for a reduced rate, are required to pay the standard fees for services out of pocket.

DO YOU OFFER A SLIDING SCALE?

Absolutely. Making therapeutic services accessible to people who are uninsured or undersinsured is extremely important to us. Please contact us to inquire about our reduced rates and pro bono services.

HOW FREQUENTLY WILL I HAVE SESSIONS?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions and may transition to bi-weekly (every other week) and then monthly sessions over time.

These shifts typically occur as clients make progress toward their goals and feel more confident using the tools learned in therapy to navigate challenges between sessions. There is no set timeline for how long someone will remain at a particular frequency or how long they will stay in therapy overall.

Our therapists are highly skilled in assessment and treatment planning, and they draw from a wide range of evidence-informed interventions and modalities to ensure each client’s care is tailored to their unique needs and goals.

HOW LONG DO SESSIONS LAST?

All of our sessions last one therapeutic hour, which is 50-55 minutes. When necessary, sessions are extended to ensure client safety and well-being.

WHAT ARE YOUR THERAPY HOURS?

Our therapy sessions occur during normal business hours, evenings, and weekends.
