Family therapy is a great way for families to learn to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, process shared traumatic experiences, strengthen the familial bond, and improve overall family functioning. During family therapy, families may also receive psychoeducation and support with skill development to cope with issues that impact the entire unit like substance abuse, domestic violence, addition/loss of a family member, etc.
We are also equipped to help families involved in child custody cases navigate challenging new family dynamics and co-parenting relationships.
Individual therapy is a journey of self-discovery geared toward helping individuals experience the best quality of life possible. The focus is on identifying and working toward personal goals that may include understanding and coping with depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse, or other symptoms, grieving in a healthy way, addressing unresolved trauma, and overcoming current obstacles.
Couples therapy is aimed at enhancing intimacy and resolving conflict between individuals in a committed, romantic, long-term relationship. Couples therapy can help increase overall relationship satisfaction by promoting open and honest communication in a safe space and skill development to foster deeper mutual understanding and connection. Couples therapy is most effective when both parties are fully engaged in the process. If you are interested in couples therapy but your partner is not, consider participating in individual therapy to learn ways you can initiate change in your relationship.
